 How much will it cost?

It is difficult to provide an accurate estimate as to costs as this will depend on the issues involved in your individual case. For a straight forward divorce however without any ancillary issue it will normally cost in the region of £1175 (including VAT and Court fees).

 Can I pay by way of instalments?

Yes we offer a range of methods of payments for your convenience. One such method is by way of instalments be it by simply ensuring a regular agreed amount is paid or alternatively a standing order mandate may be set up to avoid liabilities arising throughout the course of the proceedings.

 Does interest accrue on outstanding fees if I choose to pay by way of instalments?

Whilst we reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding fees as a rule, providing regular payments are being received interest will not be charged.

 Do you accept credit cards?

Yes we accept both credit and debits cards. Such payments can be made over the telephone by simply contacting David Myers at our Foleshill Office on: 02476 66 4000.

 Can I receive Public Funding (formerly legal aid)?

This will depend on your individual financial circumstances and your Solicitor will carry out a full assessment as to your eligibility at your initial meeting.

 If I receive public funding will this entitle me to free legal advice?

Not necessarily, depending on your financial circumstances you may be liable to pay a contribution towards your legal costs be this as a one off payment or monthly contributions throughout the life of the certificate i.e. throughout the proceedings.

Furthermore if you recover or preserve monies or assets as a result of the financial proceedings, you will be liable to pay all legal costs, reimbursing the Legal Services Commission accordingly.

 What if I cannot afford to pay my legal cost back to the Commission?

In certain circumstances payment can be deferred however interest accrues on such outstanding fees.
